This was my first time traveling to Japan and I only stayed in this city for about five days, but I will come back and stay here for a while in August. I arrived in Japan via Kansai International Airport in Osaka (KIX). The airport itself wasn’t what I was expecting. I always heard that the airports in Japan were so cool and whatever, but maybe that’s only Narita. But anyway, ya’ll going to trash me for this but my first impression of Japan is that it really looks exactly like the fucking Anime. Honestly and truly. The police uniforms, the green pay phones, the setup of the convenience stores, the vending machines, etc.
My plan for this trip was just to eat and do as many things as humanly possible in a short amount of time. Recently I’ve been really interested in classical instruments from different countries around the world so I decided to take some lessons on a few Japanese instruments. In the end, I took Shakuhachi (尺八), Shamisen (三味線), and Koto (お琴) lessons. By far my favorite was the Koto. I’ll go into detail about that in a different post so, I’ll leave that there.
Aside from the music lessons, I thought I’d try some shit I’ve never done before. I was never really down with the idea of acupuncture because the shit just seems painful as hell. And now I’ve learned to never doubt my damn instincts, they’ll never lead you astray. It literally feels like what it is, a person stabbing needles into your joints. After it was over, I was so scared to look at my knee caps because I swear I could feel blood running down my leg. The gods were with me luckily, and everything turned out okay. I also got a shiatsu massage which was lit to be honest. It was painful as hell but afterwards I felt really good.
The most important part of my trip was the food. The thing I worry about the most when traveling is what I’m going to eat. Based on the Japanese I’ve had outside of Japan I was already convinced that I hate Japanese food. But turns out, I was just being a hating ass bitch. The food was so on point. In the video I only show Ramen, Udon and Gyoza I believe so let’s talk about that. I finally got to try the Ramen in Japan and it was the fucking shit. It was creamy, fatty, garlicky goodness. I don’t know why Japanese people aren’t built thicker, if I lived here I’d be tearing up a bowl of Ramen for every meal to be honest.

This footage made me hungry 🙂
And I saw impressive talent to create such a wonderful travelling movie.
