[The Lesson]
Nothing special happened this week, literally the same bullshit for the past two weeks. But, the teacher FINALLY announced will be playing songs and learning exercises to use our fourth finger next next week (this week is a holiday). But he did give me some constructive comments this time luckily. He told me that I need to make my bowing arm swing a bit more naturally. Basically, he wants me to make the movement of my arm more like a slow version of flapping your arms like a chicken (no joke, that’s probably the most illustrative description anyone could come up with). In general, we went over similar things from the previous weeks so I didn’t have much to practice based on the class material. I think I obsess now too much over the most trivial of things. I’m always worried to be completely perfect in terms of technique, so now I’m kind of worried that I’m learning bad habits for my bowing. I don’t think it’s that huge of a problem though. Since the teacher corrects other students but not me so much, it should be safe to assume that I’m doing well.
