[The Lesson]
In terms of actual learning from the teacher, this week was nothing new. But today he put the sticker on my Erhu so I now know where to place my finger for the fifth scale degree. Which is helpful, I guess. But again, I feel that now It’s practically impossible for him to move forward considering the fact that we need to keep reviewing the same things from week to week. No progress can be made that way. Also this week, I really think I can soon learn to play with vibrato. I tried to start using it, by copying the teacher, and although I can’t make a steady one, I can feel the motion is coming to me naturally.
